The seasons are changing as I encountered this morning. Stepping out of the house, it was a very brisk 31 degrees. I was greeted with a light layer of frost on the car, which should serve as good motivation to finish cleaning out the garage this weekend.
The growing season is rapidly coming to a close, and I’m ready for this time of year. I’m looking forward to see how the yard looks as the leaves fall and we transition from summer to fall to winter. I’m excited for the first snow and that fresh whiteness blanketing the grass and the trees. I’m not as excited for the drive to work in that same snow, but that’s okay.
The picture above shows some frost on the grass. It’s a shot of a few of the buildings at work. I had to take a walk this morning to drop some equipment off and I took this as I was heading back to my office. I could have taken an indoor route, but I’m glad I chose the outdoors. It was chilly, but not uncomfortably so. The sun was just starting to peek above the buildings to the right, and there was a nice mix of the frost that hadn’t yet melted off and the grass where it had.
This weekend’s forecast calls for temps in the 70’s, which will be nice for some outdoor chores. This time of year, things can really yo-yo between warm and cold. So, the plan is to enjoy the warmer weather while it is here.
That’s about all I have for today. Hope you all enjoy your Thursday!
